Our fleet of delivery vehicles regularly cover most CF, NP and SA postcodes on a weekly basis. Most items available on this website are eligible for delivery using this service, unless specifically mentioned otherwise. To ensure we can deliver as many orders as possible with our small team, We ask that all customers help us maintain a smooth delivery service by providing the following at the time of ordering:
- A complete and accurate delivery address. This makes our route planning much quicker and more accurate, leading to faster and better delivery service for all our customers. Missing house names or numbers can lead to delays, which may result in missed delivery slots.
- A contact phone number for delivery. Ideally a Mobile and Landline phone number if there are signal issues in the area. This does not have to be the same as the billing phone number if someone else is receiving the delivery on your behalf.
- Any additional delivery instructions. Low Bridges, Narrow Streets, Gated Entrances or any other details that you think might help our delivery team. If the delivery address is inaccessible and no instructions have been provided, you may be charged additional delivery fees.
- What3Words. Some addresses, or even entire areas, are known to have SatNav issues when finding the address. All drivers have access to What3Words to help in these situations. We do not require this for every address, but if you have had delivery address issues in the past with other deliveries, please include this information if possible.
All deliveries to be completed by a Nottage Timber Merchant vehicle are subject to, but not limited to, the following terms and conditions:
- All deliveries are Curbside only. The delivery driver is only obligated to deliver your goods to the nearest, publicly accessible, and available curbside of the address. The driver may, at their own discretion, agree to help deliver your goods to a driveway, or other area outside of any property thresholds. Our drivers are not permitted to enter inside any property or within the threshold of the property, regardless of any request made by either the customer, or person(s) receiving the delivery.
- Our driver will attempt to call prior to delivery. Should the driver fail to make arrangements to deliver the goods, the delivery will be returned to the yard. Failed deliveries may be subject to additional delivery charges.
- Time frames are guidance only. See "Delivery Time Frames" page for more infomation.
- Inspect all deliveries immediately for Defects, Damage or Missing Goods. See "Missing & Damaged Goods" page for more information.
Various factors can impact the delivery date of your goods and any dates specified are an estimation only. A member of staff may advise a delivery date, either in person, via email or over the phone. These dates are taken from a delivery schedule, which is subject to change, and does not constitute a guaranteed date of delivery. Where the time frame is likely to be exceeded, a member of staff will contact you to advise of the new delivery date. Do not book workmen, carpenters, builders or any other professionals until you have received your delivery. we do not accept liability for any expenses incurred due to delivery delays.
