Our Flat Pack Window System is supplied unassembled and unglazed. The windows are rebated for 4mm material, the most popular thickness of glazing for this style of window and are the most cost-effective for a standard window. This gives a wide range of options such as PlexiGlass, Acrylic, Perspex, Polycarbonate or Single Glazed Glass. Where a heavier material is required for better insulation and soundproofing, a deeper rebate can be accommodated. Flat Pack Window Systems are supplied with suitable, matching glass beading for a professional glazing finish. Due to the wide range of glazing options to suit many different budgets, we have opted not to include any glazing with these windows. Shipping glazing material is not only more expensive but also has a high risk of damage. If you require any advice or assistance in sourcing glazing, our team are happy to help where possible.

We do not advise ordering glazing until you recieve delivery of your window. Although very unlikely, Slight variations in material sizes may cause an issue with fitment. As a general rule, measuring for glazing would be 70mm smaller than the frame on both dimensions.

What makes our Flat Pack Window System stand out above the rest is our jointing system. Creating secure and square mitre joints is probably the DIY'ers biggest kryptonite. We remove this worry by precisely pre-cutting the mitres and using our highly specialised Dovetail Keyed Mitre Jointer. This creates a super strong joint that only requires a simple hammer to assemble. The Dovetail Keyed Joints securely pull the mitre joints in tight, allowing slight spacing for a glue joint. Once fully assembled, the dovetail keys are permanent and keep the parts securely together, preventing any slide or movement of the parts. With the addition of some exterior-grade glue on the mitre joints, these frames will be as strong as any other window frames

In our testing, we estimate that a competent DIY'er can assemble this frame in as little as 5 minutes, and have a fully glued, assembled and glazed window in around 20 minutes. There is no need for clamps, our Dovetail Keys do all the clamping. Simply line up the mitres, add glue, tap in the dovetail keys and your frame is assembled. Install the glazing material of choice with the appropriate sealant (Glazing Putty, Silicone etc as recommended by the glazing supplier, or contact us for advice). Install the beading around the window and pin it into place with some small pins or nails.

Machined from Scandinavian Redwood, Our Fixed Profile style is non-opening and are manufactured in standard sizes up to 1200mm x 900mm. Bespoke sizes can be accommodated where required.

This Window System (and all self-install windows) is non-compliant with the latest building regulations are cannot be used in residential dwellings or habitable areas. This system is limited to the use of non-regulated applications such as Sheds, Garages, Garden Offices, Man Caves, She Sheds, Summerhouses etc that do not require building regulations. If in doubt, please check with your local council. If your build or project does require building regulations and approved installation, contact our Joinery Team at 01656 745959
