Pressure treated fencing arris rails provide the structural backbone of traditional feather edge fencing. Fixed between posts, they give feather edge boards a solid nailing surface and keep the fence rigid over time. The triangular profile sheds water away from the surface, reducing the risk of rot and dirt build-up that can affect flat square rails.

Each rail measures 75mm x 75mm x 2.4m and is pressure treated with preservative to resist rot and insect attack. For 1.8m and 2.4m high fencing, four arris rails per bay is the recommended spacing for adequate support. Fix with the flat face towards the boards and angle the faces outward to encourage water run-off. Arris rail brackets are the standard fixing method, slotting securely into both post and rail.
