Top Sash Meeting Rail – Premium Sash Window Parts for Heritage Properties

Our expertly crafted Top Sash Meeting Rail is designed to suit traditional single-glazed sash windows in listed properties, offering an authentic solution for maintaining the original character of your building. Made from high-quality, sustainably sourced timber, this essential component forms the bottom horizontal rail of the upper sash in a double-hung window, where it meets and overlaps with the upper rail of the bottom sash.

To enhance performance, we recommend pairing the Top Sash Meeting Rail with our Meeting Rail Connector Strip (sold separately), designed to create an effective weather seal. This addition helps protect against draughts and water ingress, crucial for maintaining the comfort and longevity of single-glazed windows in heritage properties.

Additionally, we offer a Glazing Bead (sold separately) to secure the glass or glazing unit in place. This carefully shaped bead ensures a tight fit, supporting the integrity of the sash while allowing for easy maintenance and replacement of glass when needed.

As specialists in sash window parts and joinery, we ensure each meeting rail is machined for a precise fit with your existing sash window frame. Whether you're performing a sash window repair or replacing worn components, our Top Sash Meeting Rail is tailored to meet the requirements of single-glazed sash windows, preserving the classic aesthetic while offering lasting durability.

Ideal for sash window replacement projects in period properties where historical integrity is paramount, this product will seamlessly blend with the original design while providing the structural support and smooth operation your sash windows need. Our craftsmanship reflects the highest standards, with attention to every detail, from the traditional profile to the elegant finish, allowing you to maintain the beauty and functionality of your listed property’s windows.

For bespoke sizes or specific timber types, we offer customisation options to match your exact requirements, ensuring the perfect solution for your restoration project.
