Our Rustic Oak Fireplace Mantels prove to be an extremely popular option for homes across the country.

Rustic Oak contains various imperfections that make it unsuitable for general construction & joinery projects. These imperfections are what give rustic oak its natural beauty, with knots and checks making each finished mantel unique.

To ensure the best result, we only mill these mantels from solid timber, No glue joints just timber. This means no matter which way you want to mount or display your mantel you will not see any glue joints. Each mantel is individually planed to ensure a high-quality finish.

You can create a full fireplace surround by combining several of these as shown in our images. As they are solid timber, they can be fixed using several methods including glue and screws or even dowel rods.

As these are machined to order, we can adjust each mantel on a per-customer basis. Need it shorter? No problem. want the most rustic bit of oak? Of course. Need it rebated for LED lighting? sure, let us know. We've been working with timber for 60 years, we can do almost any bespoke work to ensure you get exactly what you want.

** PLEASE NOTE ** - These are natural products. The finished piece will not always look identical to any photos shown online or in promotional material. There is no way for us to predict exactly how each piece will finish. Splits, cracks, voids and knots are part of the rustic nature of this product. Our team will not knowingly send out a defective product, but some will be more rustic than others. The dimensions given online are of the starting size (also known as nominal sizes). The finished dimensions are usually 5mm from each surface but can be up to 10mm in some cases. This is because we machine away the top layer to give a clean surface, some pieces may take a few passes to get to a desirable surface finish. For example; a 100mm x 100mm mantel could finished between 85mm x 85mm and 95mm x 95mm

Fitting the mantel can be done in various ways depending on your choice of decor.

Many people opt for shelving brackets, whilst others may choose a floating shelf style of mount. If you are unsure or would like to know more about fixings, speak with our sales team who can walk you through the best options for you.
