We currently offer a range of delivery options. Read below to see the details on each service we offer.
Delivery by Nottage Timber Merchants
Unless otherwise specified, or selected, all deliveries within CF, NP and SA postcodes will be completed by a Nottage Timber Merchants vehicle and driver. Where delivery is being completed by one of our delivery vehicles, we will always strive to complete these within 1-3 working days. Currently, with the exception of very limited situations, we do not offer a same day delivery service to any area.
Our vehicles cover the vast majority of CF, NP & SA Postcodes on a weekly basis. Each delivery slot is filled on a "First Come, First Serve" basis per area. Some areas may have multiple delivery slots per week, others may be subject to longer wait times. Where delivery is likely to take longer than the 3 working days specified, a member of staff will attempt to notify you of the delay as soon as it becomes apparent.
As our delivery vehicles can travel great distances each day, natural delays such as weather, road closures, traffic and other such delays may results in incomplete or delayed deliveries. Where this happens, we will strive to complete the deliveries as soon as reasonable possible.
Delivery By Courier / Third Party
Unless previously agreed, All courier deliveries will be sold as a 1-3 working day delivery. Whilst many couriers may offer a 24 hour delivery slot, we cannot guarantee a same day dispatch. To avoid disappointment, all courier deliveries will be listed as 1-3 working days. There may be cases where a next day service is available, but this is not a guaranteed service.
Where delivery is completed by a courier or third party delivery network, other restrictions, terms and conditions may apply to the delivery. Where reasonably possible and/or required, we will provide you with these additional terms where they may exceed normal expectation such as delivery times, area restrictions or other such concerns. Where delivery is provided via a quote, this quote will expire within 24 hours of publishing. After this period, we will need to re-issue any quotes for delivery.
Delivery direct from Supplier
Some items maybe delivered direct from our suppliers. These delivery time frames can vary, and will be published on the item page. Some items that are delivered direct from the supplier may show a faster delivery time, This delivery time is subject to item availability. This delivery is not controlled or influenced by actions of Nottage Timber Merchants, and delivery time frames are specified by the supplier. Additional delays, dispatch times or delivery conditions may differ from the information shown here.
Where delivery is completed by a Third party / Supplier, other restrictions, terms and/or conditions may apply to the delivery. Where reasonably possible and/or required, we will provide you with these additional terms where they may exceed normal expectation such as delivery times, area restrictions other other such concerns.
Various factors can impact the delivery date of your goods and any dates specified are an estimation only. A member of staff may advise a delivery date, either in person, via email or over the phone. These dates are taken from a delivery schedule, which is subject to change, and does not constitute a guaranteed date of delivery. Where the time frame specified is likely to be exceeded, a member of staff will contact you to advise of the new delivery date. Do not book workmen, carpenters, builders or any other professionals until you have received your delivery. Nottage Timber Merchants will not accept liability for any expenses incurred due to delivery delays.
